You are still the only person who made a video about the Steadimate and Aero 30 combo (Spring 2021). Thank you for all the info very helpful

Thanks for making this. I just purchased the Movi and I am evaluating the Steadimate versus the ReadyRig. I saw your more recent video and that was a big help.

You are right about Support. I rebuild these and the parts are very hard to get. Great video!

Thx. I ordered the steadimate-s for the ronin s. Anxiously waiting and will make a review myself. Shame you only have 135 views so far. This video needed to be made. 👍

I was waiting for this review! Can you make a video with some test footage on how much it eliminates vertical movement?

Awesome. Thanks for posting this. Can you make a video on how to balance it; drop test, etc. ??

Does the springs make any noise when you use it?

Thank you for this video. I am so glad to hear you state that the technical support from Tiffen is miserable. It is really a shame. I own a MōVI and a Ronin S and I feel abandoned as to fine tuning the vest and arm. I had a problem attaching the gimbal to the Ronin. I since figured it out but I contacted support and no one replied. Looks like DJI has competition for worst customer support.

Can you use the A 15 arm with this setup?

The "steadicam A-30" is a rebranded "steadicam zephyr" with the same payload capacity near enough. those rigs are production value . I'm a owner of 4 tiffen steadicam Rigs including a steadicam zephyr and these are the best in the business including GPI PRO Rigs . I've never had any problems with technical support. it takes a lot of endurance carrying big pay loads easy for me because I'm a big guy but many people who are smaller in size underestimate it every time . Best way is to practice with small payloads and build up to heavy payloads then it will naturally come easy as your body adapts to it. The steadimate I don't own but looking in to purchasing one 👍

Thanks so much for this great review. I'm in the process of building my own kit, Canon C500ii with a gimbal (leaning toward Letus Helix Pro) and either a Steadicam Aero 30 or the ReadyRig GS ProArm. Would love to know which you would choose.

Bryan Hi - Great video on pros and cons. I agree there is just nothing out there. It mazes me when you look at what there is out there on Ronin, S1H - there's just masses. And yet, here's a company that's got amazing gear and there's literally no training available online. There are their courses, which you can go on but maybe that's why.
If you're going to do any more, it would be amazing if you could do one on setting up the rig. I have both the steadimate (still in a box after 6 months) and the steadimate-s which I just tried out today and realise I have a lot of work to do.
Things that may see simple like how to:
set up the vest
attach the arm
adjust the screws
how to walk with the kit
where to stand it whilst setting up
....
literally a-z, nuts and bolts would be amazing. I would do it if I had time.
I found these only on Tiffen's site which help a little
Hope that's of some help to you guys.

Will that steadimate connector piece only work with that control arm? I already have a vest and an arm and the ronin mx. Just need that steadimate connector piece.

I've just bought myself a Proaim Flycam Galaxy vest (an alternative to the Steadicam vest) and I absolutely concur with your views on lack of setup information, even now in 2021. I've been scouring YouTube and the internet in general trying to find out how to properly set the vest in place and then balance the arm. I came across your video during this search. There is virtually nothing available and it's extremely frustrating. I've set my vest and arm up with a Crane 3s and BMPCC4K rig which, combined, weigh 8.5kg and it looks like I'm just going to have to do this by trial and error.

Readyrig is not $2000, it begins at $3000 when I check it now.

AN experienced Steadicam op can get much better results than from a Ready Rig. In other words - the ceiling of how good you can get with a gimbal mounted to a Steadicam arm si higher. At the beginning, yes, results will be similar.

To be fair..Tiffen offers hands-on workshops for all skill levels all of the world. And if you're going to be a Steadicam operator you need to take these workshops to learn and or get better.

Tiffen cares about their products but they want you to take their expensive classes to learn to use the equipment.
