I think you need to look at tighter lenses and turn OFF in-camera stabilization to do a useful test. Almost everything will look acceptable super-wide.

It seems like the steady cam footage is very jittery.

The Vega upgrade for the ReadyRig would yield even better results.

Image stabilization makes this entire video defeated in its purpose. That's where the jitters come from. You'd have to use this type of equipment on cameras without shifting sensors. As long as the sensor shifts, it can't keep up with the movements made by your body and gear.

There's more robotic like pan movement from the gimbal on both setups rather than up and down bounce. It's especially noticeable when you're walking with the camera pointing straight ahead and then you pan it. You might have had the gain up a little high on the gimbal... A pro level Steadicam rig would be smoother and more organic, especially when panning but it's obviously a lot more expensive and has a steep learning curve.

Dude, thank you so much for this. Curious, do you have the Vega upgrade for the Ready Rig? It's helped my bounce considerably.

now with the new Ronin RS2 at the doors, I´m searching for the right support for my gimbals. I´m really struggleing here because a lollypop style gimbal goes only with the Steadymate aswell as my Ronin2. The readyrig looks much much smoother during your walk towards the house. The Steadimate has the smaller footprint in tight spaces especially with doors and stuff. Thanks for the test. Very hard to decide. A steadimate takes more practice I guess than a readyrig. What are your experiences.

Unless I’m missing something, cinemilled does not make the ready rig. They are just a dealer and make accessories.
