Maybe if I post this meal 50x people will realise I do truly eat the same thing each day. 🤓

Cool story:
I finished a bulk in April and since then I’ve lost 9lbs of the fat I gained.
It’s been very easy because I decided to just eat the same breakfast and lunch each day and make my habits solid as a rock.

The only difference now to when I started my weight loss journey is I do use protein powder, but the calories are the same because I used to add banana or a sweetener.

This is a perfect meal for fat loss as it’s filling and low calorie. I use quick oats as they cook faster and I’m lazy and impatient.

Make sure you research on what oats you use and if the farms produced by them use glyphosate (round up) for weed control which seeps into the oats and can cause cancer.
Oat brands like Bob’s red mill, one degree organic, oats overnight do not use any glyphosate and there are other brands as well just research them 😊

SO great that you found what works for you! I, on the other hand, get tremendous inflammation from oats. Followed by bloating and generally not feeling good. I'm a very healthy lean weight, but oats are my undoing. As is processed protein powder! My body only thrives with whole foods. Anyone else that can't get these results from this food, just listen to your body and find what does. Plant milks are fun, but again, so highly processed you should pay attention to how you feel after consuming.

I’ve been eating a similar breakfast for two years now and it’s the only breakfast that keeps me satisfied till lunch 😄 since I started this, I lost weight/maintained the same weight but gained muscle. For me it’s the perfect combination of carbs (oats) fiber (oats and fruit), fats (I add a few types of seeds) and protein (protein powder and milk). Easy to make, cheap as well because I buy all the ingredients in bulk. And I make it as overnight oats, 3 days ahead at a time.

Also it’s so easy to switch up. One day I use chocolate flavour protein powder and top it with frozen raspberries, then another day vanilla flavour protein powder with e.g Grated carrot and walnuts and cinnamon for “carrot cake” flavour.

I'm really happy you love this! I got into oatmeal this year but I enjoy it cold after soaking in milk for a couple of hours. I make it with cinnamon, frozen strawberries, and a serving of mini chocolate chips. It hasn't helped me lose weight, but I love getting some extra fiber and fruit in the morning.

Same here. I have been fairly successful with cooking a small pot of oatmeal with either water or almond milk to the consistency that I like.* This past week I had dental surgery so I made a few adjustments for nutritional value. For me, that meant, I made it a little bit looser than normal so it was easier to swallow and I added some bananas and mashed some other fruit into some small containers for later meals. Additionally, I also added a tsp of ricotta to my oatmeal for extra protein. Being over 50, sometimes, I find it hard to get it in. Last week was a long week but it was easier with some preparation and good food and rest!😊

I still don’t understand why people use microwaves fur something that cooks up in a few minutes on the stove . A pan, oats, hot water and berries takes me 5 minutes on top of the stove.

But aren’t oats a carb? They turn to sugar? I would think that would spike blood sugar first thing in the morning??

I have been enjoying old fashioned oats with frozen berries and one banana in the morning! It’s about 300 calories total and keeps me super full until lunch :-)
