One big error with this is that Napoleon III and IV got along amazingly with the British Crown. Napoleon IV was much liked by Queen Victoria and was likely to marry her granddaughter. Such an event wouldn't outright stop a war from ever happening but I would definitely lean more towards a long term Franco-British alliance if that were to happen.
