We love homebrewing gadgets and this week, we take a look at another toy John has. It's the Extech Pocket pH meter. We discuss the utility of a pH meter and when and where you're likely to use it to enhance your brewing. We do some real simple tests in some water to further discussion. We'll do some real brewing tests with this toy in the near future. Cheers!

Thanks again for your good work :) Learned a lot - again!
Another thing I was wondering about is how do you maintain the four tabs in the background? I assume its not just decoration? They are probably not only used when there is a huge party around, are they? But if you have four different beers ready on tap and, lets say draft one beer every other day, going for a different beer each time, how do you treat your taps and hoses? Of course I think a (or even four) ready to go tap is awesome, but I dont want to clean my tap and the hoses every second day, so I stick to bottling mostly (except for when I expect visitors). How do you solve this issue?
