I think one thing that is a must have is a wort chiller. While an ice bath in a tub or kitchen sinkworks fine for smaller batches. Starting out with an immersion chiller is a huge upgrade. From there you can move on to a pump and counterflow chiller as your set up grows.

I am not a fan of yeast starters. Either buy liquid yeast, rehydrate dry yeast with GoFirm Protect or just drop the dry packets into the wort. The only time I have heard of fermentation issues is when starters are involved especially with new brewers. Otherwise your vids are great and we have the exact same brewing processes. Nice tip on the RO system, I use HbrewO and really happy with how easy it is to manage.

+1 for the bulk reef supply ro/di system. I am in the process of selling off my reef stuff. I definitely have plans to setting my ro/di system back up in the brewery.

What model fermentation vessel are you using there?

Good stuff.

I just picked up the same ultra ship scale after always using my small electronic kitchen scale to measure grain in 2 lb increments... that got old when I started brewing 10 gallon batches.

Maybe another luxury item would be a grain mill and corded drill, along with grain storage buckets for having bulk grain. I love my Monster 3 roller and old heavy duty Milwaukee drill. Those are items I don’t have to worry about on brew day. For grain storage, I’m a big fan of 5 gallon food grade buckets and the gamma seal lids. Comparable to the pet food vittles vaults, but less expensive and somewhat multipurpose.
