I am not rich or smart enough to go to Harvard but the truth is Harvard does not need you, it could charge 200k and it would still be full. It’s kinda like Med school who don’t really offer full rides for good grades.

Well other than the full scholarship geniuses and the daddy's money students and whatnot, no one said "yeah, go to the most expensive, prestigious university of the planet and also expect to be handheld throughout the journey". Like most universities of that level, harvard is a business first and an institution for education second. I undestand oxford is just as bad when it comes to this.

Just a friendly reminder that even if housing and food plans are separate from tuition, they still didn't reimburse the other costs, and as a first year Harvard student you are literally mandatorily required to register into housing in a dorm

I paid 1, 040$ for a year of studying at universtiy of linguistics in one country of europe. (4year degree university would be little over 4k$) compared to USA i think we're speaking in hundreds of thousands..
