POV Ride on the 2021 Gold Wing DCT. My thoughts after riding it for the first 4000 miles. The video includes a 15 minute ride while I discuss some of the things I like about the motorcycle and the one thing I don't.

Used to live in SoCal, miss the weather and geography not the prices or the politics but this was a good video to "feel" the Goldwing on familiar roads.

Good video, I turned 72 this year and feel same as I did when I was 60, so I bought a 2022 DCT standard matte blue, I found the DCT to be fascinating! I still have a 2008 Victory Vision full tour as well and plan on keeping it. You made me feel better about pulling the trigger on the DCT, I will be picking it up in about a week. Thanks for the video I enjoyed watching.

Motorcyclist since 1977. I've had big bikes, nowadays 400-500cc and I'm happy with that.
I remember the original Goldwing, this new Goldwing has to be the best touring bike ever.

64 and still riding……awesome. Loved your commentary on the phenomenal 2021 Goldwing…hope to acquire one in the future. “People don’t see you even if they’re looking at you” …….So true and a vital point for all motorcyclist and cyclist to ALWAYS keep in mind. I can only expect your channel to continue growing……Cheers.

I love riding with my feet on the highway pegs, turning corners and just keep driving. I use rain mode in parking lots and turning around in my driveway. I've tried sport mode once and so glad I had a back rest, scary. Horn button is an issue ( there are 2 horns by the way, one on each side behind the lower cowls). My 2022 DCT honestly is the holy grail of bikes for me, love it.

You are living the good life and that is what retirement is all about. The WIng will keep you young. I love my 2023 bagger DCT and I hope I can keep on it until at least 80 like a gent I met riding an old gen Wing at Mt Wachusett. Ride safe and often.

Thanks for the video. In Canada we only had 2 goldwings for 2021 sent up here. They were both gone in less than 2 weeks. Hoping to see a 2022 come soon!

Nice area. Looks like it like to find top gear really quick. I notice you were hitting 3rd or 4th just crossing the intersection. I was impressed when you opened it up, looks like she moves out super fast. I do like the sound. Thanks for the ride! Stay safe!

I have the same 2021 Goldwing .. same color too .. mine is a manual. I'm really enjoying the bike so far. Mostly ride in Touring mode, which is plenty sporty for me. I've replaced the shortie windshield with standard size one .. fits the bike perfectly .. I've made no other modifications

I first watched your Lake Hodges video this a.m. after seeing it listed on my youtube.com Home page. Enjoyed that very much so now I am watching your other videos. You mentioned your age, height, weight, inseam, etc. which is something I really appreciate knowing. It is extremely rare to see that information given by car and bike reviewers and it is so essential to getting an idea how a person would compare sitting in a car or astride a bike. Sad to say I have you beat in all those parameters. I am 74, 6'3", 275 lbs., size 14 feet and 34" inseam. I've lusted for a Goldwing for a few years now since they came out with your DCT. Your model in particular attracts me because it doesn't have the travel trunk. I had to remove the trunk from my '09 Harley Ultra Classic a few years ago because it became too hard for me to get my leg past it when getting on the bike. I can now swing my leg over the rear of the bike even though I've mounted a luggage rack and passenger backrest.

The closest I've been to a Goldwing was my 2001 Honda Valkyrie 1500 Interstate with it's 6 cylinder Wing engine. Anyway, I haven't yet tried to sit on a new Wing to see if I would fit. I doubt that I can. It appears to be too small for me. I am just now recovered from a broken leg I got from a bike crash 3 months ago. Not so much as a scratch on my 2006 Triumph Rocket III because I landed on one of the very few grass covered patches of dirt in all of Southeast San Diego County near Campo. Anyway, titanium plates and screws are holding me together just fine and I am slowly getting back in the riding groove.

I love my 2023 Goldwing. I got it almost 10 months ago, and I've ridden over 13, 000 miles on it. The DCT is a bit quirky and takes a bit of getting used to when stopping at a light. (It jerks a bit when downshifting.) I always ride in manual mode, so I can decide when to shift gears. This will be the last bike I'll ever own.

I have mounted extra lights from Denali which significantly improves my visibility - They have saved me on numerous occasions.

My friend, I have to point out how impressed I am with the fact that, the very first thing you did, was blow that red light at the very beginning of ride 😂👍 Nice review… Hope to get one very soon.

Many people have issues with the placement of the horn button. I just read where one guy stuck a little round rubber bumper, like the ones you find on cabinet doors, on the switch so he could differentiate the location of the button. I'm gonna do it!

10:35 That’s exactly what I told my daughter when I gave her my old bike. Ride like you’re invisible! Some people simply don’t register motorcycles when they drive.
