The character you play as is Pinocchio. In the safe spot there is a light in the room. It shows the shadow of the character you play with, you'll see his noise getting longer with each lie. Unless the tin man noise gets longer with each lie he tells than what you said is bs.

This makes a lot of sense, the player was only made to do the dirty work since Carlo's body wouldn't be able to do it since it was already completely rotten

P is referring to P organ aka his heart hence the name Lie of P aka lie of his heart. also, Pinocchio don't exist in that world, but you definitely play as equivalent of Pinocchio, and he can be also a Tinman in wizard of oz tale just like how Giangio aka Paracelsus is also Mad hatter equivalent (pale skin, green hair, and top hat). I mean same character can also play different role in another tale.


also, little secret in real boy ending. if you don't start new game and start at the inn you'll actually play as real Carlos with human body and yellow eyes but still has ergo power because of his P organ.

Except the Nameless Puppet isn’t Pinocchio, but the reanimated corpse of Carlo. The protagonist is much more fitting to Pinocchio as a character than the Nameless Puppet is. Hell, the Nameless Puppet *can’t* lie, and doesn’t even *have* a nose. That final boss is basically a whole metaphor for the protagonist casting off the identity of Carlo to become someone new (ie, Pinocchio).
