30 DELETED Harry Potter Characters You've NEVER Heard Of (CUT from the Books!)

Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today, we're delving into the realm of DELETED characters- figures that were mentioned by Rowling but never made an appearance in any officially released material- whether it be books or films.

While we have been enthralled by the likes of Harry, Hermione, and Ron, there exists a treasure trove of characters lying dormant in the scribblings, unpublished drafts and words spoken by J.K. Rowling during interviews.

Some were scrapped in the editing process, others lost to the ever-advancing plot, and the rest just weren’t quite Harry Potter material.

Today we’ll be delving into the sketches, interviews, and whispered rumors to uncover these intriguing, yet unused, characters. Discussing their origins, powers, and the roles they may have played if given the chance. From a lost Weasley family member, to a Hogwarts TOAD ghost, to a professor named Pettigrew, this list has it all.

I’ve managed to piece together 30 characters in total, which does already seem like quite a lot, but if I’ve missed any PLEASE let me know in the comments and I’ll address it in a future video.

Well, it would make sense, to providw Hermionie with a muggle sibling. This could serve as counter/mirror image to Petunia the muggle sister of Harry's mother.

A professor named Pettigrew could have been interesting, especially if she had been a sibling of Peter's and was there 3rd year with Remus. I wonder if she would have known Peter's rat form an recognized him

It would easily have been possible to fit Hermione's sister into the plot. She could have been interested what a wizard/witch household or life is like. Therefore she could have been invited to stay with the Weasleys in the sixth year, when she is old enough to to keep secrets for herself. She would certainly be a good company for Arthur, who likes to find out as much as possible of Muggles life. And imagine what a dream it would be to see Fred and George's joke shop. Book six is the only book where she could have fitted into the plotline though.

Trocar would also have been intriguing as one of the shuffled in Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers.

I think Hermione's sister should have been mentioned in passing. The number of students who are only children just because she didn't bother with siblings is unrealistic.

Most of these make sense to me. We know there were teachers who were never mentioned by name. I got the impression that classes were held either 2 or 3 days a week, which I wouldn't think would stress students the way our heroes always seemed to be. From the stories, it seems as if classes took up about 4 hours each day, plus maybe a couple hours for homework. That might be a heavy workload if you spent 4 hours a night wandering the castle and forbidden forest, but not for the average student. I assumed some of the classes weren't mentioned, outside of those Hermione took with the time turner. As for students, I estimate the school may have held 200 (from sorting * 6 years) but from the dining area it looks like even more.
