DIY, Natural Mosquito Repellent from BeautyBerry?

In this video, I show you how easy it is to make your very own mosquito repellent from a plant you probably have growing somewhere around you. The American Beautyberry is found all throughout the south but its cousins have been being imported for years so there is a really good chance youll find it in professional landscaping as well.

Hate the smell of isopropyl alcohol. I use vodka instead. Add either lavender or rosemary essential oil to make it more effective and smells nice too!

Very cool-I was gonna order some catnip and plant it around the house for supposedly the same effect.

Very interesting! We live in New York State but it says on Google that it can grow here also. We have 19 acres with 14 of it forest, so I bet there is some there. We also have a Snowbird home in Florida so I bet between our children who also live there, and us we can find some. Thanks, Palmetto! Love it! Where ya been? I been using mosquito dunks (doughnuts) in a 5gal bucket of water and yard debris. It does pretty good but I'm gonna try this. Can we use it in bulk around house?
