The YU7 will feature dual electric motors with peak power of 220 kW in the front and 288 kW in the rear. It supports a top speed of 157 miles per hour. In comparison, Tesla's updated Model Y offers a lighter build, which may result in lower energy consumption. The long-range Model Y has a 78.4 kWh battery and a range of 447 miles, the longest in Model Y's history.

Xiaomi delivered over 135,000 units of its first EV, the SU7 sedan, in 2024, signaling strong market interest ahead of the YU7's launch.
