This Lemon Pound Cake made with Almond Flour is just as good if not better than any conventional cake and it is sugar free, gluten free and extremely low carb, too.This is also one of my most popular keto recipes. I am so happy with the recipe as it makes a great coffee time cake or a snack and also satisfies your craving for some sweet. It has a wonderful texture much like around cake and is very versatile. You can top it up with some whipped cream and berries for a more formal dessert. I hop you guys give it a try and leave me a comment down under. Happy Cooking!

To Buy the ingredients: These are the standard ones available in India. I do use other brands too if bought abroad.

Ingredients for Lemon Pound Cake:
6 large, Egg
2/3 cup, Coconut Oil
2 cup, Almond Flour
5 tsp, Coconut Flour
1 tsp, Baking Powder
1 tsp, Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
2/3 cup, Lemon juice, raw
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
3/4 Cup Erythritol
2 Droppers(12 drops) Stevia

Ingredients for the glaze:
1/3 Cup Cream Cheese
1/3 Cup Heavy Cream
6 drops Stevia

For those using a glass bread pan, it takes 1hour and 5 minutes to bake at 350 degrees.
The cake is delicious but a little oily, so I would cut the amount of coconut oil by half and substitute the other half with butter.
Also, a dash of poppy seeds complements it nicely :)

If you mix your soda and baking powder into your coconut flour, and add it after you've mixed in your almond flour, you won't get such a mess. The rising will be more controlled, and won't be wasted by mixing it back down. It will make for a fluffier cake.

I used a loaf tin lined with baking parchment. Cooked it for 15 mins then put foil over it for 25 mins . Perfectly cooked when taken out of oven. I also used half coconut oil and butter, it was soooo light and moist the best cake recipe yet for me ! Thanku x

Thank you! I even “messed up” and substituted butter for oil, and it still turned out beautifully. I beat the heck out of it because my butter wasn’t as softened as it should have been. I was worried that I had wasted all of those ingredients. LOL. However, when it was finished baking and the toothpick came out clean, I let it sit for about 10 minutes before turning it out onto a plate. It sliced up splendidly, and tasted so good I was able to sit in front of an entire plate of Christmas cookies without fighting the temptation. This cake is that good, and I didn’t even glaze it :) The hostess asked me for the recipe because her husband loved it! I didn’t even take any credit. I’m sending your link to her.

This recipe is to die for! I love it. One issue that I had and want to share with you all is that I didn't have a nice silicone pan like Sonal did. I used an aluminum one. I sprayed it with coconut oil spray and cooked it at 355 F for 45 minutes in my convection oven. It cooked all the way thru just fine, however, it stuck to the pan bad. The second time I cooked it, I lined the pan with parchment paper. Success. Great cake, no stick. The third time I cooked it, I left the lemon juice out and added unsweetened chocolate powder (4 tbl). It was good, but a tad bit dry. Next time I might add something like butter to make up for the missing liquid from the lemon juice. But thank you Sonal for this great recipe.

Hi I tried your recipe. Yes it's a lovely recipe. I just tweaked it by using half qty of erithritol n half of xylitol. As I don't like d aftertaste of stevia. And added black poppy seed. Turned out yumm. A big thanks. Yes its difficult to figure out that's it's a keto cake.

I made this cake and topped it with Keto lemon curd.It is the best I have ever eaten and improves with age. I keep it cold. I only have a small square as a treat and so love the texture and marvelous flavor, thank you for sharing.

I made this with some substitutions, but I basically stuck with the recipe, and somehow made an even tastier treat. I think I made a keto version of frangipane. I cooked some pears and baked it in a dish. I think I'm in love.

Thanks for this! I did 1/3 cup of coconut oil and 1/3 cup of butter. I added a teaspoon of lemon extract and 3/4 cup of bocha sweet and 1/4 of confectioners swerve. And also added poppy seeds. Came out delicious. I cant believe how moist it is. It really doesnt even need the frosting. Thank you for sharing!!

I finally made this cake today, and it turned out great!
I followed the exact recipe and the sweetness level was perfect for my taste.
The next time I make this, I will add some lemon oil to bump up the lemon flavor even more.

Made this on labor day waiting for Hurricane Dorian. It was delicious and even my non-Keto friends and family devoured it. I took others advice and used only 1/3 of coconut oil and added lemon extract to the glaze. Great recipe that I will be using often here. Thank you!

I used vanilla bean, I added poppyseeds and almond flavoring. I mixed it altogether and did not do it the way she did. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes on 350. Once the cake is done, it’s delicious and you cannot tell it’s keto. I’ll try doing it exactly like her next time and see if there’s a difference. For the cream, I would put more cream cheese and less heavy cream. Otherwise, a great recipe.

OHMYGOODNESS I just made this and it is delicious !!!! It tastes just like regular pound cake. I used 3oz of melted butter instead of coconut oil and used 4 drop extra of Young living lemon oil. My husband loved it and he is not having to eat Gluten Free. It is good and only 2 carbs!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!! Will definitely make again and again and again....

We made this cake and it was DELICIOUS! We did cut back on the oil to 1/2 cup. It was so moist. Also added lemon zest to frosting and some in the cake.. so good
