My family used to have a '98 DX civic sedan with a silver color. 5 speed manual, manual everything-manual window cranks, manual door locks, we even hooked up a sirius xm to the cigarette lighter. That thing was a beast. Sold it with 250, 537 miles on it due to a broken air conditioning compressor. Seeing that coupe was quite nostalgic.

A few years ago I started getting compliments on it.

A kid I worked with called that a "classic japanese sports car."

The disparity in the model year versus the intro year of each generation is definitely confusing....the model years were sometimes vastly different....that said, imo, the 3rd generation was truly a profoundly groundbreaking if not a landmark vehicle design. The engineering and design set a standard for the industry for years. It was unique, well-built, beautifully engineered, roomy, quick, efficient, and everything worked together in perfect harmony.

I had a friend in high school who drove the 2nd gen Civic, so that's where my nostalgia is. Fred was a great car right up until some drunk dude peeled around the corner and smashed into him parked on the street while we watched. Lots of memories driving around in that car.
