Its a great knot. I tested 20 knots i only this one brake on line not on knot. The other knot breake on week spots on knot. I highly recommend.

Nice educative video. It is a classic Palomar knot, slightly modified just by adding one more string. Otherwise excellent and very strong knot.

Yes indeed the Strongest knot and connection. It makes way too much sense construction wise & very easy to tie. Thanks!

This is the way instructional videos should look! His hands never blocked the view. It was slow enough and very concise. Sharp video image. Used text only when and where it was necessary. Repeated the process twice. Best of all NO loud crap rap music blaring to distract the viewer. Even if I never needed to know this knot or anything else you are teaching I would watch your videos over all the other lame so-called tutorials. Great job Pee Cee!!

( and for all the negative skeptics, no, I do not know this guy)

Great video! Very comprehensive I've not used this knot much. Looks like a cross between a trilene knot. And Palomar knot.

You are correct and behind. Been using this knot for 50 years and my Dad taught it to me.

I just tried your knot in just over 2 minutes. It's a great knot. I love to double line to the knot. Thanks for posting. And don't listen to the negativo's...

Appears to be a good knot but in 40 years of fishing with mono-filament, an improved cinch knot has NEVER failed me. Ever. From perch to Chinook salmon. Easy and quick.

I agree it would be a strong knot. The problem I see is the double overhand knot is still in the line making that the week point. I did enjoy the video and great description of the knot good job!

This knot will definitely not slip. There are many knots out there to learn how to tie, just pick a handful that are the easiest for you as a fisherman to learn. Confidence is everything when it comes to fishing, thanks for the video.

I have never had the improved clinch knot fail after 20+ years of fishing with mono... But I do like learning new knots

7 years ago when this video was uploaded I began tying this knot with 4# FC. About half way there now.

Iuse a knot similar to this on forthe past 30 years and it is the best one I've
found never had a fish pull it loose yet!

I've tested many knots but not this one. The improved Uni knot is the best knot I've ever tested. You can't do any better than the rated breaking strength of the line and the Uni knot gives it to you ever time on both mono and braid. More importantly, the Uni knot is easier and faster.

A bimini twist and offshore swivel knot combo will give 100 % of line's capacity !
This has been proven time and again in "knot challenges" by many line manufacturers.
