Two jets take off at the same time. There is only one runway but there where no crashes and it was at the same airport. A plane takes more than 1min to take off. How can this happen?

They Both Took Of At The Same Time On Different Days

When a children's movie has more accurate call outs than most modern AAA military games.

My mom’s gonna flip with joy when she hears this, she’s a huge fan of Top Gun

As a mechanic, when people ask me "Are you into cars?" I'll always reply, "Yeah, I love that movie"

I really like how a movie about sentient planes did a lot of research on actual planes!

I really admire how they used the jets' foldable wings to imitate a salute

Happy that Val Kilmer not only made an appearance in the recent Top Gun Maverick but his presence can be felt in the entire movie. Which is both inspiring at tragic at the sametime.

Same with Goose even though he wasn't in the film himself.

The fighter squadron in Planes is VF-17 which is also the title of a squadron of F4U-1A Corsairs from 1943 to 1959. Skipper is also an F4U-1A

Didn't you know that "Nothing Can Stop Me Now" by Mark Holman have similar samples as "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins?

The way they salute with their retracted wings made me roll

So, since war planes and the events of history somehow still happened in this universe, I have some questions:

1. Were all volkswagons nazis?
2. Were Fat Man and Little Boy, America's two atomic weapons used to pacify Japan....alive?
3. If you shot down a plane in vietnam, did the plane end up in the prison camp at the hanoi hilton?

On that topic:

Mater works in a junk yard....surrounded by car parts. So...he effectively lives in a graveyard surrounded by body parts?

Not F-18s. They look more like a cross between an F-18 and an F-15. The planes flown in Top gun were F-14s.

It's really amazing that the two actors from Top Gun also voiced the jet fighters in Planes. Really made a crossover for the kids to see inspiration of.

I just find it odd that a crop-duster can go as fast as 2 F/A18 jets

Also, in aviation, B stands for Bravo and E stands for Echo. For an example, if a plane has EB-203, in the radio you'd say Echo Bravo Two Zero Three

Just at time for Top Gun: Maverick, I didn't notice the design of the helmets of Bravo and Echo were a reference to Top Gun, and I have watched Top Gun several times but I haven't seen Planes in a long time.

In full detail, the Jolly Rogers existed first in WW2 as VF-17, being redesignated as VF-5B and VF-61 before it's retirement. The squadron name returned with the classic VF-84 Jolly Rogers, which quite famously flew Grumman F-14A Tomcats, you can find them in movies such as "The Final Countdown" and "Executive Decision". The latter film, being considered VF-84's last hoorah. VF-84 was also disestablished, before once again being brought back as VF-103, originally flying F-14D Super Tomcats in the late 90's and early 2000's. However, upon the Tomcat being retired in 2006, the squadron transitioned to the F/A-18F Super Hornet.

For their to be a carrier and fighter jets I can only imagine what their tanks look like. Their foot soilders, artillery and other things like what does war look like.
