My favorite part of these reviews is how you always manage to find some dreadful puddle to go and have an absolute STOMP through. It is genuinely hilarious and satisfying.

I love the fact you concentrate on how comfortable the trainers are and their intended use for running. Great to see other brands get mentioned in the video, seems many are tied to Adidas and Nike. However, I'm a massive Hoka and Asics user purely for comfort/walking long distances.

Really happy to see this sort of video, highlighting really good, more affordable trainers. So many shoe/run-tubers pushing more and more expensive trainers it's so refreshing to see someone cover three solid pairs of trainers that are all comfortably under £100. Nice work.

Love the velocity nitro 2! Ran my first marathon in them this year.

I've ran about 300k in the Puma VN2 and it is great shoe. Although I must agree with you Ben, the stability can be an issue. My right heel twists to the outside during my runs, despite that I run on my forefoot and do not pronate. It feels almost like the heel isnt connected to the rest of the shoe.
Overall comfort is very good, and the grip is supreme!

Ben just wanted you to know I used with your half marathon intermediate guide for my second half marathon this year. The last one was 2:07:30. Today I ran 1:56:40! Thank you so much. My next race is in Las Vegas in February I will shot for 1:45:00.

I like the Puma VN2 a lot, it's an amazing value for money ( I have 2 pairs :D). And I confirm that the only downside is that is quite hot in warm weather. Being in Portugal, during summertime you can't run in these.

The Reebok Floatride 5 is a fantastic shoe. It's just a really good workhorse of a shoe that can easily do 800k. I tried the Velocity, but that just doesn't work for my feet. I do my long runs (unpaved) on these and they are just amazing.

I ran about 100 miles in Velocity 2 and its still a little too stiff for my liking but its built like a tank. I am considering to buy another pair just to have it. Outsole barely has any sign of wear. For 60-70$ its really good shoe. It does not feel like 10mm drop, more like 6-8mm

I'm a massive fan of both iterations of the Puma Velocity Nitro and got both for around the £50 mark. In the recent atrocious weather my beaten up version 1s have been my go to shoe (well over 600 miles and still going strong). Never had any issues with stability or over heating. Have used both for the occasional session - especially those on wet grass or wet roads and I didn't want to take out something with inferior grip. Would recommend to anybody (except those requiring Stability options).

My favourite in this price range is the NB Rebel v3.

I own the Puma VN2s and Nike Pegasus 40. Dont the Reebok Floatride 5 but have the 4. The 4s are okay for shorter distances but could do with more midsole.

The Pegs are hit and miss, sometimes feeling like massive clown shoes. Can also feel the air uints. Their saving grace is that they dont seem to get wet in the rain.

Best by far is the VN2s but could do with more stability after about half marathon distance.

Bought a pair of Scott Speed Carbon RC running shoes for £45 recently, which included the postage! They supposedly retail for £180. Will take them out tomorrow for the first time. Intrigued to know how they'll perform.

Hoka ATR6 @£65 these are great from treadmill to trail, my first pair are still going strong with over 700miles on them, I've done everything from a fast 5k treadmill to a 50k trail run, plus they are also my go to driving shoe. If its serious bogs and mud, they are out of there depth, but looking at your reviews I don't think many subscribers venture too far from the tarmac and trails. Great content Ben!

In the US, honestly it’s probably the ride 15 or triumph 20

I agree with everything about the Puma’s! I bought them bc they were on sale and didn’t put much effort into the purchase but they turned out to be a hit. The only minuses for me: they are slightly too narrow, and the bottoms tend to pick up a lot of soggy debree like crushed leaves, etc.
