I love this concept! I read non-populair books of books I pick put randomly in (second hand) bookstores a lot! (or, we have this thing called little free libraries quite a lot in Holland, where you can swap books for free. So i sometimes get them from there.). It can go really wrong, but I got to know some pretty great books this way.
(And getting them is definitly more fun)

The Other Einstein sounds sooo cool! I'm super interested in Einstein and his life and I've never heard of such a book before where it's about his wife.
This was such a good idea!
I did this as well (okay I did look at the reviews very quickly), but I got The Extinction Trials and I ended up enjoying it SO MUCH!

Love this idea and love that you are enjoying your new genre experiences! It's so fun to discover or rediscover other kinds of books and it definitely doesn't mean "moving on" from ones you already love.
Oooh I keep wanting to pick up Wild Embers! Really interested to hear your thoughts on it. All 3 you picked up sound super interesting!

If you haven't read "The Perfectionists" by Sara Shepard, I highly recommend it! It's hard for me to get int books and this was one of my favorites. It has two books to the story total and it's a murder mystery but it has a severe twist in the end that I would have never been able to guess as I read through it. Think about reading it! It's so good! :)

This is such a great idea!! When you started the video I thought you were going to mention how Barnes and Noble has a table with 'Blind Book Dates' (because mine just added one!) but I actually like your idea even more! I've really been wanting to get into more underrated books and I think this is such a great way to start!

If you want to try out a real blind book date, the Reading Women podcast sells them in their Etsy store! You put a link to your Goodreads and three books you love in the notes, and they choose a book for you. I got one and okay, I admit I haven't read the book yet...but it was one I'd heard of and wanted to read, so that's cool! They wrap in nice paper, too :)
