have you tested this on a tablet beacuse I want to buy the cable but I want to make sure it works with samsung tablet

This will work in most of the mac as it has thunderbold / usb 3.0/3.1 but it will not work pc / andorid - as most of the usb has 2.0 in mobiles in pc ss compaitable . you may need adapter for 2.0 to 3.0/3.1 converter
