I love the imagery of the Good Shepherd and the lost sheep being found and lovingly carried back to the flock.We are all the one who is lost at one time or another and I pray we hear the Master's voice which may come through one of His servants but ultimately He through the Atonement is the only one who can lead us safely home but I can gently persuade others to come unto Christ and partake of His goodness as it says in the scriptures of the Book of Mormon.

Remember Jesus was a Jew and the Bible was written for the Jew world view and then given to the new world. The world view at that time the other sheep were the gentiles and middle eastern gentile nations.

The "other sheep" simply refers to the non Jewish people who put faith in Christ.
Read Ephesians chapter 2, and 3.
These verses highlight the fulling of what Jesus said in John 10:16.
And it continues to this day.
Millions of people from non Jewish heritage are becoming Christians. Or the "other sheep."
