Why would the harbor pier have the ships so close together to start with?

Wind problems often come with age!! The Captain will get a stern talking to but I am sure he will bow to pressure and end up getting all the Glory. What a Legend you are for your reporting of this smashing story!!

What was inside at those areas that were damaged? if it was a commons area you would have a better chance to flee from direct damage. Horrible either way but just imagine being surprised while in a cabin and not being able to get away. I remember seeing that happen on another ship some years ago. a woman was killed in her cabin and they couldn't immediately extract her, so she was exposed to the open gash😵

PLEASE!! Hold the phone horizontally! 2/3rds of the screen is wasted, and it's like looking through a keyhole.

How do you pass while going backwards ?

Why did the Legend Dock before the Glory? Was the Legend early to port or the Glory late? There are three spots to dock and the Glory had to dock between two other ships...

Another showpiece for farmers insurance? Not sure I agree with the comment of ‘severe damage’ though. Ship was still fully functional. Just a glancing blow like a fender bender and really could have been much worse. Hopefully no one was severely injured

I just saw the glory in port in New Orleans. The ship looked really run down and rusty. Just got off the getaway and was spending time in Nola and took a look at the ship.
Nothing to do with this event but what is going on with carnival?

So this cruise is continuing, but what about the Christmas cruise scheduled for next week?

Sure it will fix but the point is that they hit in the first place. If a ship is close enough to another ship that winds forces contact, I'm thinking they were too close to begin with. Was it nappy time on the bridge? Are there better captains out there looking for a job?

That should buff right out... In other news, alfresco seating NOW AVAILABLE in the aft dining room.

Thanks for videos and pictures everyone. I saw it on news
I knew Bruce would eventually post something. Thanks Bruce. I was on Glory in October and we were going to stay in Cozumel extra night cuz of storms but the storms turned.

The "HULL?" Do you mean the stern or the prow or something precise?

So whom was running the controls of the ships? The captains or the harbor pilots? Wonder where the liability falls if it was the harbor pilots?

Are the captains playing Roman galley fight?

So are the Captains of these two ships going to be answerable? Is there some shipping tribunal/court where they have to answer and submit a report on what happened and their role in it? Also, can the injured passengers take legal action against the companies who run these ships? Or do their injuries get covered by travel insurance [if they took it out] ?

Even a bad day at work can be made good by watching the hilarious antics of a carnival ship destroying comedy at its best!!!!

If it were the alledged "ocean currents/high winds" how were they able to separate so quickly? I think it's pilot/captain error.

The legend was docked and the Glory was trying to dock in 25+ knot winds, it also just about bumped into the Oasis
