I have a habit of dropping wards as soon as the cooldown is finished. If this could work in wild rift as well, this definitely helps a lot

This is one of those bugs that has been in the game since forever to the point that it is considered a feature. Then again I don't think Riot is ever going to fix this bug anytime soon.

Alternatively, just don't ward until level 18. That way you immediately get the perks of the lower cd without having to base.

i like this trick. however unless im missunderstanding something. this rewards u what 3/4 of a ward? so the cooldown is lowered by about 5 sec pr lvl. so if u where too lets say place a ward when the first wave hits or when ever. u have 210 sec too lvl. for every lvl u reach u gain 5 sec off the ward timer. as long as u B before those 210 sec if u dont. saveings gone for those prio lvls. for min max purpose its a great tip. for the avrg player it will at MOST save u 5-6 sec pr lvl so 90 sec give or take thats 3/4 of a ward at lvl 18. if u manage too also time ur backs perfectly. so saying ull get more "wards" wouldnt fit the bill. im open too me beeing wrong but thats what i figured out looking into it :) but still great tip :)

Just buy farsight alteration. It can be placed at a range of 3k units away, lasts forever if not cleared, and has a cooldown significantly lower than the yellow ones at every point of the game.

All you need to be is level 9 to buy it. It's also free, and can make up for your support placing bad wards or even if they forget to place wards. Only Lee sin, Senna, and jax should keep yellow wards as they have ward interactions.
