Our society is so obsessed with being a victim and being weak it is pathetic. The guy had a meltdown and was hurt by someone’s comments so immediately thought how can I hurt this person quickly and deeply? It’s to call them an absolutely terrible name that is guaranteed to hurt someone. Doesn’t make him a racist, makes him someone with anger and poor judgement. End of story. Words are only sounds, the weight that they carry is only what you let them.

When Michael says "7 years ago" and then you see the video was posted 9 years ago. Makes you feel old real fast

I have infinite respect for Jerry for being a friend. In show business the slightest hint of scandal and most of your famous friends won’t pick up the phone ever again. Jerry never defended his actions but stuck by him from the very beginning. Despite having a considerable amount to lose himself. It’s hard to find friendship like that.

In the words of Dave Chappelle, "Don't let em break ya Kramer!"

I like Jerry's blank stare when he realizes where the conversation is going hahaha.

The true beauty of this interview is the genuine relationship that both Jerry and Michael have. If you look in Jerry's eyes you can see the concern and sincerity he has for Michael. That is special.

Michael Richards, You made your apologies and expressed your remorse and regrets. Please forgive yourself. No matter how others may feel or think about you the most important person at this time is you. Again, Forgive yourself God Bless you!

Time to put the baggage down, and move on with your life. Forgive yourself, and only compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Thats the only person you should be comparing yourself too.

This shows how human we ALL are. I'm black and i see he, like all of us, have messed up. I think it speaks volumes how he reflects on it and how he's actually learned from it. Give the guy a break.

Richards spewed alot of rubbish that night, and he deserved condemnation.  But I'm the type of person who believes that no-one should spend their whole lives beating themselves up over a mistake - no matter how much of a big one it was.  I really think we should just get off Richards' back and let him recover; he sounds a shattered man, and as far as I'm concerned he's paid his dues by now.

That's a nice moment between good friends captured on camera.
Richards gave us nine years of comedy gold.
I won't let that be erased by two minutes in a comedy club.

When Seinfeld says "it's time for you to put that bag down. it's up to you." you can tell when Richards responds with a weak "yah" that  he won't be able to. Sad.

You can also see Seinfeld's drive to keep going. Makes him a strong comic. He has probably been heckled many, many times before and fallen on his face. He has a tougher skin built up. Like he can just move pick himself up, dust himself off and move on. Strong person. Where as Michael maybe scarred for life from this.

He is lucky to have a true friend in Seinfeld. Nice to see.

I think Jerry tried to save his carrer back then. Next day he invited him on Letterman on very weird interview over satellite. He's not racist he just used words he knew it would make a punch. That's what we do when we are angry.

There's a line at the end of this episode where Jerry says 'Well I do hope you consider using your instrument again (referring to his comedy) because it's the most beautiful instrument I've ever seen'
A really telling moment between old friends.

Everytime I watch Seinfeld clips I end up down the Michael Richards incident rabbit hole.

They really seem like genuine friends. good to see that, especially in show biz.
