God you can tell how much remorse Richards feels for that event and how much it hurts him thinking about it.

Leave that man alone. He’s just chilling.

I feel bad for him. He's so timid and nervous whenever he's being interviewed now.

He seems so sweet and humble now, almost felt sorry for him. Guess he learned his lesson after all.

Been watching a lot of Seinfeld reruns lately, he was so great as the Kramer character, and that show really made me laugh. Be well Michael Richards.

Imagine he started screaming the N word again at the camera guy

I hate how TMZ and most media outlets don’t value repentance. Leave the guy alone.

I think what he did was awful, but I wish people could let him move on with his life. They say the only real apology is to change your behaviour, and he's been unimpeachable ever since that one explosion.

People have to remember he was never a standup comedian. He wasn't like Seinfeld; he wasn't like Robin Williams or Richard Pryor who were veteran standup artists before their movie careers, and were real pros at dealing with hecklers. He was hugely inexperienced on that stage; he was just an actor, just a sensitive portrayer of other people who was given an incredibly funny role and played Kramer brilliantly. Everyone expected him to be funny in his own life because Kramer was, but that wasn't really him. It was a character he played, and then stopped playing. People wanted Kramer; they didn't want the actor he really was. And that had to have been hard even before he had the public freakout that's still the first thing to come up when you Google him.

It's been 12 years now since Michael Richards went off on his disgusting racist rant; he's apologized, he's never engaged in racist behaviour since, and he's lost pretty much his whole career over it. When you rob a bank or stab somebody non-fatally with a knife, or murder their dog in this country, you generally get out of jail in less than 12 years and get to start getting your life back. You can do really awful things in life and after a decade or so people will give you a chance to start over and try to make a new life. I don't defend what he did and I'm not necessarily a fan of his work outside of Kramer, but maybe that's because there hasn't been any since. There comes a point at which he ought to be able to just move on with life.

Jesus you really can’t live down a mistake in this society.

Reading these comments it's restoring my.personal faith in humanity that most of the YouTube community can understand the man had a horrible night and was out of his element. Its important and vital that we don't cancel every single person for having said something so ridiculous and or just all around having a bad day...or We would all be cancelled. There'd be none of us left lol. What's important is that he took ownership for his actions and moved forward not carrying that weight anymore but learning from it and putting it down. You can't carry emotional baggage like that for too long or else you'll never move forward. Mistakes happen. Its the human condition. We are perfectly imperfect beings.

Honestly seems like a really nice guy, people make mistakes yo judging by his responses hes definitely learned his lesson and feels ashamed of what he did but even now in 2020 people wont let him live it down witch is pretty sad tbh...

I think Michael Richards handled this jackass in the garage quite well after being ambushed with that question.
