What’s the point of review? If everyone at home can see it’s the wrong call, why are we pretending it was the right call? It wouldn’t even be a delay, should take 3 seconds to overturn. Absurd. Ball don’t lie.

Absolutely wild that you can review whether a ball hit the player or the bat, but can't review whether it hit the bat or the ground

I instantly realized it was a foul ball just from the real time audio. The most important way to protect the relevance of umpires is to make this stuff reviewable. Bad calls are by far the worst part about baseball.

Non-reviewable plays are essentially the league bowing to the umpires' egos. Everyone gets things wrong sometimes and to have crucial, game-deciding moments be immune from scrutiny because some umps want to be immune from being wrong is a major problem for the modern game.

This should be like the NFL: All scoring plays will be under review. This was a scoring play, which should make it reviewable if needed.

Bad call by the ump, but I was also getting Chuck Knoblauch/David Cone flashbacks with Jonah Heim arguing the call instead of making the play. Thankfully he redeemed himself with the walk-off.

What would the sport be without arbitrarily enforcing bad calls so we can all get mad about it? Having zero games ruined by missed calls is just unthinkable to me.
