Have the engine running, and at operational temperature, but how do you "dip" the oil?? Does the dipstick need to be screwed back in to check the oil level?? Or do you just go in upto the threads and back out and not screw it in??

When fluid is hot at operating temperature should the level be at B or A ?

Hello, do you know How to check ATF level for Ford Everest 2014?

It didn't specifically say if the engine was supposed to be running. I heard what sounded like an engine running. Likely it was the truck. But not certain.
It didn't say if you were supposed to let the engine and transmission warm up or not.
You couldn't tell in the video where the level of the fluid was on the dip stick.
It didn't say what year vehicles this video applied to. Maybe all years. But no way to know.
It didn't say if different engines resulted in different placement of the fluid dipstick.
It didn't show how to shift through the different gears while the engine is running in order to prep the transmission for fluid level checking.
If you think I'm being too critical, consider this. My 2003 Ranger with a 4.0 Liter V6 has a transmission fluid dip stick that you get to from the top of the engine.
