Terraria - Sunfury

The sunfury is currently the most powerful flail in the game, as it has a base damage of 33, with a decent speed and knockback. The sunfury is obtained by killing bone serpents in the underworld, it has a 1% drop chance for every section that is killed.

You can hit multiple targets per swing with the sunfury, and you can hit the same enemy twice if thrown correctly.

Furthermore, the Sunfury is considered to be the best melee weapon for fighting bosses, so its definitely worth spending the time to get it.

@miccnev Cleansing powder, its bought from the dryad :) just throw it on corruption blocks and it turns into normal dirt :D

@jeffhardyisepic exactly! the ebonstone turns into normal stone and the purple dirt becomes green dirt so it stops them spawning

@jeffhardyisepic no it does not. i have build an arena of ebonstone to fight the eater of world and dirt attached to it. The grass on the dirt stays green. it doesn't turn purple. But the ebonstone does spawn eaters....

@TotallyTodders 'video bumping' occurs whenever a video starts to upload, I was tyring to re-upload the blowpipe video (which im still doing), and because its not public, youtube automatically thinks Ive just uploaded the sunfury video, im not intentionally bumping videos, its a bug that needs to be fixed..

To get better chances of getting the sunfury u can use dynamite because it can take out multiple parts of the bone serpent so it's like killing multiple of them

Lol, according to the wiki, sunfurys are no longer dropped by bone serphants and are now found in shadow chests.

@DeeDeJay well thats pretty obvius, but how about the ebonstone between the chasms? the purification powder dosent reach all the ebonstone, locicly it wouldnt spawn anything but does it? it apears you spend much time in the corruption :)

@abelito98 uhhm no its strong but your ammo is running out fast so this is the best thing and it can hit a boss 5 times in one swing well in boss fights as eater of worlds but the star gun is good though

a great strategy is to build and arena in the underworld out of hellstone and kill skeleton worms with dynamite. the game thinks every piece of the body is a different worm, decreasing the time it takes to actually kill that many
