The clothier voodoo doll can be used to summon Skeletron by using it to kill the clothier at night. This is helpful if you want a specific drop from him and don’t want to go into another world.
The step stool is used for early game before you have rope or a hook and need a small boost to your jump. It can also be used to get extra placement or mining range if you need precision.
The “slimed” affect an entity gets when hit by the slime gun increases the fire damage that entity takes.
The flare gun is meant to be used more as an early game light source like sticky glow sticks but also as defense in a last case scenario.

The reason for the clothier doll to exist is so you can spawn skeletron again if you want to get all his possible drops

"Pro players like me, we just use a hook." A hook is the easy way out. If you want to be based and sigma, use a step stool.

The slime gun is for fun. Not every item has to be a weapon or a building block brother. The reason you play the game is to have fun.

There is 2 decent purposes for the flare gun
1. Empress of light cheese-you can make the projectile cap full if you shoot down enough flares for an easy defeat on the hardest boss
2. Not everyone wants to use light pets and glow sticks to see, so it's nice for exploration purposes

I'm not sure if this is bait or not...cuz all of them has a use even if it's gimmicky like;
1.The clothier voodoo doll can be used to summon skeletron via killing the npc by night
2.Its used for THE best building and mining accessory
3.The slime effect can show the location of invisible players and monsters when hit by the projectile
4.Can straight up make any projectile boss a walk in the park, and has the spelunker ammo when used every ore, pot, life crystal, and chest in it's radius have a shining effect

Also, invisible players or mobs can be seen by the particles you get from being slimed. The flare gun though, is useless.

im pretty new to terreria and since i dont know how to get a hook and im not looking at the wiki i use the stool and umbrella and it gives me a jump boost

The Clothier Voodoo Doll is literally used to summon Skeletron even after he was already defeated the first time for grinding.

Step Stool is good for reaching high places to mine ore or jump higher for those who don't have a grappling hook or double jump item yet.

The flare gun is good for spamming flares to prevent bosses from shooting projectiles, and it's also a good weapon at the beginning of the game against EoC and surprisingly good against Wyverns, due to them having several ligament hitboxes. It's also good for lighting up places if you don't have torches or glowsticks in your inventory.
