Thanks great explanation. I’ve got soreness-inflammation on C7/T1 I think from high bar squats and or heavy deadlifts it seems very stubborn to get better. It’s just tender when I press on it and I can feel a bit of pain when I pick anything up with either arm. I’m trying not to aggravate it but I do a lot of physical work so it’s impossible to completely rest it

One question. Does the Trapezius assist in raising my arm above my head given that it's attached to all these points. I can only raise my arm to just under shoulder height. Thanks for the clear explanation of the Trapezius.. I think I understand but would my condition not be affected if the neves that control all these muscles were not working. I should let you know this happened after I had shoulder replacement surgery

Pull ups and dead hangs have really increased the size and strength of my trapezius muscle.

Good explanation but I thought the traps only rotated the scapula upwards from both the upper and lower portion because the lower portion attaches to the spine of the scapula and thus would pull it down, rotating it upwards. Also, does it rotate the head and neck to the opposite side, I have heard this?

Simple, effective and remindful. Thanks for your efforts.
One suggestion. You have white backround.Skeleton is naturally white. White on white is not right choice for visibility.Maybe darker backround should be better.

They often say wide rows targets upper back but if traps don't abduct the humerus then I don't see how it targets the upper back?

What about the Teres minor and Major? I always get confused since the Major is higher to attach to the arm/pit. And the teres minor attaches litterly to the armpit. Is it possible that a overdevolped teres minor could litterly insert into the chest itself? Or the Major to litterly insert on the arm? I'm just throwing nonsense to just see what if. I see bodybuliders always neglecting these small muscles so wonder. Hmm?
