Many ENTJ, such as myself, are so over protective and afraid of getting hurt or abandoned that we protect ourselves by acting bossy and try to make everything look easy while not really caring. It is only a shield and on the inside, many of us just want someone to care and understand us. It is unfortunate how people look upon us with such unthoughtful and unkind eyes.

It's actually true, my mom is an ENTJ, she is so bossy and strong around other people but with her family she is a sweetheart and very understanding. The only problem is that she has some anger issues and everything has to be under control (and as someone with ADHD + an INFP I do suffer with that)

As an ENTJ, entj's are very complex. Another thing is we aren't as emotional as other, yet also often have a desire to lead the crowd and be social, but sometimes struggle with understanding certain social cues because of bluntness and logic, which makes a frustrating paradox for us. To be fair, this could also be due to my severely mistreated ADHD, trauma and mommy issues.

Can confirm. My ENTJ best friend is one of the funniest people I know. Loyal to a fault. But we instantly hated each other as kids. When I stood up to them, apparently they wanted to be my friend. I kept their mind expanded, and they kept me on a schedule. ENTP and ENTJ is a lifelong friendship. If you're lucky enough to experience it.
