Dr. Schiller is an awesome doctor! He is my doctor. He did surgery on me to straighten my leg. He did an excellent job. My scar isn't bad and I feel better. He is a very knowledgable and talented orthopedic surgeon and I highly recommend him!

at what point do you stop thinking impingement and start to consider a labrum tear?

The biggest problem is that most people try to replicate the training of the proffesionals. I myself got into strength training. And heavy squats, deadlifts clean and jerks can really mess you up if recovery is not taken seriously. The thing is, proffesionals spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on hyperbaric chambers, cryo chambers, hot and cold therapies, physical therapist, massage therapist, chiropractors etc. And regular people don't.

Hey doc. I never experienced pain or aches or problems well into about 20yrs of age. But around 20 turning 21 in bootcamp actually i was diagnosed in that time and then after a few months medically discharged from the army due to bilateral cam joint and acetabular hip impingement. Would you say the rucking and all the training would have made my condition worse bc now i turn 26 this june 4 and my hip is unbelievably uncomfortable, inflexible, my lower back now aches too, the lack of rotation at the hip got my right snkle broken and right knee dislocated when i was 24 playing soccer. Now my whole body doesn’t feel straight. My back feels crooked. My hip feels crooked. It constantly is in my mind i cant do anything to stop feeling what i feel. The army discharged and did nothing medically for me just said here we fucked you up from training and after finishing it go home. With nothing bc my condition was EPTS (existing prior to service). Do you think it was unfair of them? Can this condition have worsened due to the military training in your medical opinion?

Elite swimmers really can’t take more than 2weeks off a year as we lose the feel of the water within days of being on our 1 time a year break. Swimming is a year round sport and I don’t think telling people that if “professional athletes can take 2-3 months off than so can you” isn’t really accurate or fair to lump all sports/athletes together. I think if you wanted to be more accurate with your statements you might want to learn a thing or two about each sport before making an ill informed statement. As a Doctor people will take what you say a Gospel, so you have a responsibility to know your facts and share the facts.
