Prego already has the most sugar for pasta sauce lol. Might as well sprinkle sugar on top too

Try the basil paste sold in tubes in the produce section over dried basil. Stir it in at the end of cooking. No comparison to the dried and adds a delicious freshness to your sauce!!

You cannot turn Prego into good sauce, since you can't remove the bad ingredients already in there. Good sauce has very few ingredients. Tomatoes, salt, olive oil, garlic, and fresh basil. That's all you need to make good sauce and it's easier that buying Prego.

Prego is by far the worst Italian sauce on the shelf. Get a good high quality (and unfortunately more expensive) brand and add additional seasonings to your likening. I add more olive oil, more garlic and more oregano.
