I lived in Key West in the mid fifties. The seven mile bridge was only a two lane bridge then. I was in the fourth and fifth grade then. We had some bad storms blow by but no hurricanes.

Wow poor Florida Keys going through hard times of the hurricane. l hope things are back to normal. l guess the poeple there get use to hurricanes alot. Duvall street looks flooded. My prayers goes out to them. Be strong. 😤
