Last night was the first time in forever that my heartbeat went up, that I felt postive, that I threw my arms in the air after a goal. I'll take it.

Agree to an extent with Brian re: Riley’s game but he didn’t show much hockey IQ on the breakaway when he went straight towards to goalie with his man in tow instead of pulling the goalie off to one side to allow a short, quick cross ice pass and tip in. I thought that was pretty junior.

You guys don't even talk about the mismanagement of Zac Jones who was on the best D-Pair before with Schneider??

If Mika takes the man instead of being in no man’s land, Hughes probably doesn’t score.

All I’m going to say is, I watched Brodeur era Devils teams sleep through half of their seasons year after year and then have deep playoff runs.
So with that in mind, let’s just see how this season plays out.

Larry you need to have your sister Sue up there as a guest on a podcast. I sit two rows in front of her at the games and consider her a good friend. You need a fans perspective for one podcast and she is a huge fan and very knowledgeable!!

Great episode Thanks all. Feeling a little bit better after the last few games. I really would have liked to hear you guys talk about Miller and his egregious mistake at the end of the Dallas game that cost them a point and they could have been three oh and one and four

When the Devils went up 2 to 1 I thought here comes the collapse, thankfully they didn't cave.

Molls, I get what you're saying about getting to OT shows some fight, you're right. But, the Dallas game was a collapse, not a fight. They allowed the Stars to tie the game twice, including after being up 3-0. The Devils game was half a fight after the Rangers led the game to begin with.

After a Blockbuster trade at or before the March trade deadline and trading Kreider, Mika, Vesey, Miller, Lindgren, then the Rangers will make the Playoffs.

It’s funny they start playing better without Kreider. They said there was a rift in the locker room also. Something to watch.

For all the fans who keep claiming that dumping Goodrow torpedoed the Rangers, just clam it! Carrick is an upgrade at 4th line center. Better scoring touch & every bit as willing to stand up for himself & his teammates. At least give Drury credit for that move.

Molly, Larry and Brian. What do you think of the report that came out saying Mika refused to waive his NMC to go to Vancouver?

I’m taking this with a grain of salt. I honestly don’t think they can continue on this kind of trajectory

The NHL season is a marathon. Not a sprint. Let’s say a miracle happened: the Rangers are rejuvenated. They’re no closer to the Stanley Cup than they were the last three seasons. They don’t have the physicality. They don’t have the stamina. This is a team that would win the Stanley Cup in 40 games not 82.

If someone shows you who they are believe them. The Rangers expectations are not to barely make the Playoffs. Kreider, Mika. Miller, Vesey, Schneider, Lindgren and LaBust have to be traded.

Molly: Apropos Chytil: The reports are disingenuous.

That title is SUS AF. Rejuvenated? Who? When? Where? How?!?!?!

Points were accrued, I'll give them that. But let's slow down on declaring anything about this team rejuvenated. They still have one of the weakest defensive cores in the league. The coach takes forever to make adjustments. Half the team sleep walks through these games. The goaltender is mentally fragile. They don't score 5v5, and don't have a shutdown defense to make up the difference. Very few gamers on this roster, if any. Where's this sunny disposition and this optimism coming from? Boyle & Mollie are friends with the players, they wont ever be critical. Thank god for Larry Legend! Never afraid to call it like it is

There is a difference between a slump and a collapse. The Rangers have too much talent to not rebound. The Division stinks. 6 pts between about 6 teams. Regular season is meaningless. Just make the playoffs. And your set. Presidents trophy is worthless. Rangers get a wildcard they’ll do some damage.
