Carl Jung's Deep Exploration of Introverts

Hello brothers and sisters, and thank you for sharing your journey with me.
In this video, I would mediate Jung’s understanding of the introverted person, and it’s four introverted functions; the rational pair of opposites - thinking and feeling, and the irrational pair of sensing and intuition.

All of Jung’s text is taken from chapter 10, “General Description of the Types“, in Jung’s collected works, volume 6.

Jung would read his own words, as I've created a voice based on the materials I’ve restored of him, mainly his 1957 interview, which is available on the channel.

The reproduction of Jung’s voice, of course, isn’t perfect, but it's pretty close and it has the effect I was imagining.
After each segment I will add my simplification, with the goal of mediating Jung's complex writing in mind.

I hope you’ll enjoy this production and find meaningful self-knowledge for your individual path, toward higher levels of health, balance, and the courage to be who you are, and who you were meant to be.

I strive to mediate the profound light that Jung himself brought forth through his work and life. It is part of my life’s purpose. In many ways, we modern humans have lost touch with the core of our being—our psyche, our soul. Jung guides us back to that source in a way uniquely suited to our modern consciousness. Through his teachings, I have found the most meaningful path toward realizing my own potential for wholeness, joy, maturity, and creativity.

Jung mapped the inner world with remarkable clarity, revealing where our psyche and civilization stand and what is necessary for our individual and collective growth. With his guidance, I hope we can keep our inner flames burning in the midst of the darkness that surrounds and inhabits us, thus promoting in our world and selves - health, courage, and reflection.

Incredible how much one can learn about themselves in two hours. Thanks a lot for the video

Thank you! Here, you have used digital recreation correctly and responsibly, using it to read Jung's own words only. And you have sourced the text used. Much appreciated!

Hearing the inner thought process described so exquisitely is utterly astounding, it occurs to me that most that listen to the end are....us, only we know, only we understand, and ironically we are not we, we can only be I, the one in here, the one that analyzes everything relative to our own perspective, we (I) are at the mercy of it, we may as well embrace it and perhaps find comfort in recognizing and understanding the process as the good Dr. surely did. Like another commenter, I too found this so compelling that I posted, for the first time in my life

It feels so realistic to hear his writing from his own voice. Need more audiobooks like these.

This is just numinous!!! Thank you and please continue with this work. It is marvelous to hear his voice reading his own book. Especially after one reads it by himself

This is the best video I’ve ever heard about who I am and my young son who’s going thru so much inconvenience because he’s on the outside of the majority also. ❤ To all introverts out there and the people who unlock 🔓 us, we love you.

i am seeing deeper into myself than before, both the dangers and gifts of being an introverted feeling type. .. After decades of struggling to develop a more objective practical relationship with outer reality, and much recent deep inner work that has helped me to accept and value my true nature and psychological tendencies, I can see now that i am at last achieving the necessary balance between my inner and outer realities without needing to repress or deny those intense, deep inner forces. Balance does not, I think, require equalization; it can, I now feel, allow for full participation in the forests of my inner reality and expression of its rich symbolic and mythic images even as I give the outer world its dues. Thank you so much for these videos, this one especially which has helped me see my way forward as an authentic, responsible introvert in these largely extroverted times.

its interesting that i've always thought myself to be highly introverted being i am fairly reclusive, yet my rational, logical mind have dominated my personality most of my life. Only the past decade or so, have i become more of a true introvert, relying more on my instincts and subjective perceptions. I think this has been an eye opening journey, listening to Jungs philosophy the past decade or so. All of his theories and things like his concepts of the collective unconscious and synchronicity have really helped cultivate my inner, most intuitive perceptions of reality, while making me realize that objective reality is not the whole story.
thanks my friend for the fascinating content as always! And you reproduction of Jungs voice came our super clear and fairly authentic. Well done!

I’ve been so introverted my entire life that I don’t remember when I stopped talking to people... Or maybe I just never did. Every conversation growing up felt shallow and hollow, maybe it’s my fault being so uninterested in the mundane conversation starters about weather or replying I’m doing good when I wasn’t. I never developed the tools to work into the deeper a conversations that I was interested in having with people, thus never learning how to become attached to people.

I found this to be helpful. My ego isn’t my amigo. I have been a type to live in my own mind all my life but over the years I am getting better. I come from a lot of disfunction and this helped. give me a little bit of insight on how to better my thinking.

You are doing important work here. Sometimes I feel like Jung is already in my brain. Listening to his work, can be exhausting to me, for this reason, but for people who don’t have this issue, what a Godsend.
