I was once accused of something I did not do. I was hurt, upset, disappointed, and frustrated because people just jumped to conclusions without hearing my side of the story. I tried to defend myself and stood my ground, but it was hopeless because others wouldn't listen or give me a chance to prove their accusations false.

What I did was I left and spent some time alone. I allowed myself to feel the emotions and reassured myself. I told myself that it isn't my fault and I can't control the opinions of others about me nor can I control the situation. I can only control how I react to what I experienced. And that gave me a sense of peace and comfort, knowing that I was there for myself even when no else one was.

I’ve been living in Switzerland for the last 4 years. I’m so surprised with how many people do not know Jung! A brilliant mind!

My favorite Carl Jung quote: "Life really does start at 40; before that everything is just research." Thank God for alcohol and drugs. Thank God for the 12-step program that helps people deal with all the "research" they did prior to getting sober. Looking at life that way removes the "guilt, " which is housed in the unconscious. Unfortunately, not enough "recovered" people are brave enough to uncover their shadows. They spend the rest of their "sober' lives living in fear that anytime they could return to their "evil" ways. I walked through the "dark night of the soul" and FREED myself from the fear. I am a WHOLE person today. Better said, I am no longer the person I was. I wrote my own 12 steps to bring the WHOLE person into the sunlight.

Whenever I am asked what my greatest fear is, my answer is always "myself" because I know how unpredictable I can be. One of the reasons why I am into psychology is because I wanted to understand myself better and others. I would do so by observing and listening to other people and making mental notes. I would write on my personal journal when I am reacting so negatively about something, I would write down my experience and explain why I feel a certain way or emotion or why I thought or acted a certain way. It helps me understand myself. What ticks me, what makes me happy, what excites me, what makes me feel dull. It gives me an idea of my character and if I don't like something about it, I try to change it.

I learned to supress my anger years ago after nearly killing someone who attacked me. I've felt significantly weaker in these recent years and realized I've been completely separated from my anger, which is a major source of power and truth. Finding my way back into martial arts to respectfully wield that force for my ultimate experience of creative, constructive and expressive energy. So grateful for this next chapter to heal and embody of potential 🙏

I was born into trauma both my mother and father come from traumatic backgrounds. I grew up with trauma that developed physically, emotionally and mentally. I have started shadow work by writing down all the emotional terms that I have been feeling all these years. I desire healing, integration and forgiveness and I want the foundation to begin from within. I will no longer hide or pretend that everything is O.k. I will no longer find an excuse to avoid my dark shadow. I am not afraid anymore, I deserve happiness. I wish I knew this 30 years ago, I could have stopped the suffering back then. There is a reason why I attract traumatic experiences in my life. I am the unconscious trauma that I keep trying to run from. I'm tired of running away now.

“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.”
― Friedrich W. Nietzsche. So much (all?) dissonance and conflict in the world today is shadow projection. If we could only all heed Lao Tzu: "There is no greater misfortune than feeling, 'I have an enemy.'"

I believe suppression also leads to development of addictions, a fully integrated person cannot be addicted to anything.

Become who you are afraid to be because who you are afraid to be is who you really are, that's why we aspire to be a better form of ourselves, we've ignored our true needs so much that we've forgotten who we once were and now we're lost, so we need to look for the real us and to leave this world behind us, we're not in our true condition.

We definitely are not!, reading too deeply into Carls works! We are avoiding the hurts of our shadow selves, that need to be recognised, integrated, and healed. Otherwise you will continue to be controlled by your ego, political, racial, religious agendas of control! ; that is why we are here.

The single greatest improvement that people can make towards improving moral cohesion and general cooperation in a so-called civilised society is to accept the dual side of the personality and to stop seeing ourselves as wholly good and externalise all evil. The propensity to do wrong is inside all of us and how often have we shifted our blame to those we have injured, how often have we seen someone suddenly doing something completely out of character when it best suits their purposes, how often have we heard backhanded compliments? All these traits belong to the unexplored unconscious shadow.

I've only been able to acknowledge recently that I've been repressing violent, even homicidal, impulses. It's a response to a feeling of powerlessness - if someone has power over me, they must be removed for me to be safe. Just now, at 29, I'm starting to pull back the layers to discover the terrified, vulnerable child underneath.

Btw, never did anything, just thought about it and repressed it. Begged god to protect me from my own nightmares.

when I started doing the inner work and realised I was being constantly verbally abused by my own father and all the words I used to hear inside were his, it was too painful to keep looking inwards so I decided to conceal it but the universe send me two relationships with the likes of my father and I had no choice but to look inwards again with now 3 times the pain! I wish I had dealt with it in the first time around now...

Jung is a "Mystic", he understands the essence of his authentic self. Personally I lack that so he's still a mystery to me.
