I’m 16 and was diagnosed with hashimotos a year ago after being put on anxiety meds and sleeping pills, had multiple test until I finally got my thyroid tested. The brain fog and muscle mass is on point, it terrible because you want to do better at a certain task but sometimes just physically can’t and it’s kinda defeating. Depression is also a big thing, I’m not one to say I’m sad or depressed or even talk about it but out of no where you will get feelings of worthlessness and sadness for no reason. The major problem with Hashimoto is that you can’t ever catch a pattern, it’s not like you know every other week you’re gonna be absolutely exhausted no matter how much sleep you get…. You could just wake up one day and have it

Hey Sara, I recently just got diagnosed with hashimoto’s also. You are totally right about how most conventional doctors do not run a full thyroid panel. They only look at your TSH levels and when they fall within the range, your good! Suggestion to all, have your doctor preform a full thyroid panel when getting a blood test.
I use to be so active and able to go to the gym on a regular basis. However now with all the muscle loss and fatigue it’s been very hard. I was wondering if you could do a video on that topic. How we can rebuild loss muscle with this condition. Please keep making more videos geared towards men as there isn’t very many out there. Thanks 😸

I’ve been dealing with long COVID for 5 months. It’s been so bizarre. It comes and goes. Brian fog, profound fatigue, loss of strength, loosing hair, my skin will age 10 years, then bounce back… maybe I need to get tested.

My symptoms started when I was 18 and have been consistent into my 30’s. I have yet to see an endocrinologist. Primary care doctors just say it’s depression and offer Zoloft. I don’t feel clinically depressed I feel depression because of how I feel. I’ve also had psoriasis only on scalp since the age of 9. Fatigue both mentally and physically are my most debilitating symptoms. My LDL cholesterol is the only thing that was high from my last blood work.I really need help!

I’ve had two separate blood tests show my thyroid is acting up and they’re thinking ANd treating it as either graves or hashimotos going to continue to check and drill down to the issue.

I was diagnosed with hashimotos last year. It all started when I had a very terrible heart rate issue. Around 4am I woke up to heart rate spikes in the 160s. Noticed when I had these flares that my stool was tannish/gray, oily and had very weak muscles and felt like my nerves were affected. Also found I had terrible bloating, especially after eating carbs. I had a work up and in my blood results had a high tsh. Had antibody tests, T3 and T4 tests. Turns out I had the antibodies for hashimotos. T3 and T4 were normal. My symptoms would come and go. After I started an elimination diet (no gluten and processed foods). I felt way better! Also, I was diagnosed with NAFLD about 6 months ago. Anybody else have these symptoms

How often are high thyroid antibodies misdiagnosed as Hashimoto’s when it’s actually cancer or some other disease, especially when no other hypothyroid symptoms are present?

32 years old. Cannot eat carbs without extreme fatigue, slow heart rate, foggy headed, depression, water retention. This could be the answer I have been looking for 🙏🙏🙏

Also: Been told maybe Raynaud’s cause of cold hands and feet. Crazy gassy after eating [carbs].

Thank you for making this video for men. I was just diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease after a yeah and 9 months telling my doctor something was wrong with me. Even when I was told I have the disease she just referred me to an endocrinologist. They are so backed up my appointment isn't until June 2022. I don't know how or what to say to my doctor> I feel like getting diagnosed my doctor would or should have done something other than tell me. I had to do all the work and advocate for myself to get where I am today. Do you have any advice? I am really struggling. Thanks again. Ash

Hello again from the U.K. Sara. As mentioned on your video concerning Coronavirus I have Hashimoto’s. I’m obviously a man as you can probably tell!! Lol. I find your comments on ‘specialists’ quite amazing as our so called ‘Endocrinologists’ completely ignore Hashimoto’s (Well in my experience they do) .. I had a private Thyroid + 12 blood test that showed my TSH to be high and out of range, FT4 to be high and out of range, FT3 to be low and just in range, RT3 to be high, my anti bodies to be sky high and he simply ignored the results and said ‘some assays are different’.. Did no further investigation what so ever other than giving me the basic thyroid function test and based his conclusions on that!! In my opinion that’s nothing short of medical incompetence ... What do you think?

I was recently diagnosed by my endo with hoshimotos, I'm soon to be 40 years old. I'm actually losing weight as opposed to gaining, my endo says it's not normal at my stage. But my worst problem anxiety, although my endo says it's not really a symptom, but I've never had anxiety before so I'm not sure.

Can the antibodies for Hashimoto's go away or will this always be there?

Great video, thank you!
I have every one of these symptoms except for constipation, is it possible to not have all symptoms and still possibly have Hashimoto and or Hypo thyroid? We have been doing so many tests, and blood work, mri's mra's, sleep studies ect... and have yet to figure out why i've gone from a super strong healthy 51 year old man to a weak overweight piece of mess in just 2 months. All the tests have come back exceptional, so on paper I am in fantastic shape, except i'm not :( I know you can't give medical advice, just looking for some direction, i see a cardiologist tomorrow and plan to mention hypothyroid.

If I become a workout machine and go to a all whole foods vegetarian diet. Can I reverse low thyroid levels? Have you seen someone try this? I'm 39yrs old 6'3" and 275lbs fat. I heard being fat can mess with your hormones.

My mother had or has hashimotos as a young woman, not sure what I should say. I'm a male at 33 and I've developed a string of symptoms such as joint pain muscle fatigue and loss of muscle. They've run all kinds of blood tests and urine and says everything looks good. They keep saying it's fibromyalgia and it's all in my head. They are doing bloodwork for my thyroid and a 72 hour urine sample collection. I've had these symptoms for over a year and a half and it's getting progressively worse. If my mother had it, is there a higher risk for me to have it?
