Mono Rubber Soul is just pure listening pleasure. The reissue LP mono boxset is the way to go to unless you have the originals in perfect condition.

This pressing of Rubber Soul has Dash 5 matrixes which it was a later 1966 Mono pressing in which this version was cut by Hazel Yarwood, the only female cutting engineer at EMI. However, this version with Dash 5 matrixes is widely considered as the best MONO pressing of Rubber Soul.

I tend to only go for the earlier Mono pressings of their albums because man they sound so darn good!!

This is the best version of Rubber Soul sonically that you can get. I think this -5 cut of the mono Rubber Soul may be the best sounding Beatles mono record ever! I have been looking to buy a clean copy of this record for a while and I am now in deep negotiations to hopefully buy one soon. Wish me luck!

Honestly, I prefer the Capitol version. The reverb and saying change makes a much calmer and folk like album.

I think Drive My Car is a way better opener than I've Just Seen A Face

Thanks for sharing. I have a UK 'loud cut' 1st pressing (deleted shortly after release due to muddy bass and edgy vocals) stamped from matrices XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-1. I have just bought a new, direct drive turntable so I'll be able to hear it again. It always sounded fine to me.

Once upon a time, this entire album was available on YouTube instead of just bits. I understand it's probably a licensing thing, but it sucks!

It maybe the best pressing but you can't hear that from this video. It is recorded so that it sounds as if the stereoset is standing in a cardboard box, so the sound is not from the amp to the
video, it is played frome a stereo and the person recorded it on a mike, as it comes out of the speakers. So if the speakers are not that up to scratch, the sound comes into the room and then into the mike. Rather record it straight from the amp.

This album and "A Hard Days Night" are the absolutes MASTERPIECES! of their work with a respectful nod to "Beatles For Sale" the rest you can keep, not my thing at all

I wanted to hear the song “you won’t see entire song, before it was
remastered, to prove that the song slowed down and sped up again, but I don’t
hear it on the remaster. Could you please upload that entire song?

I heard Americans hadn't had "drive my car" as an opener. Sad.
