DJI Avata Lost… and Found!

I was following another Avata through a beautiful forest, using head tracking to be able to watch them fly while keeping pace. It’s a bit tricky and at one point I realized too late that I wasn’t going to clear a branch!

Happily, DJI made there Avata quite rugged and it came away unharmed. The challenge, however, was finding this tiny drone among the wild trees and bushes of Nova Scotia.

In the Goggles 2 menu, there’s an option to switch on a continuous beeping, so as long as you know approximately where the Avata landed, you can probably retrieve it.

A bit of ducking under low branches and pushing through the undergrowth and I could start to hear my little drone’s call. Beep da da beep beep! Don’t worry little buddy, you’re okay! 😃
