Are the Three Laws of Robotics Enough to Keep Us Safe?

We are living in a world where AI and robotics are prevalent and mainstream. I have always enjoyed reading science fiction and one of my favorite authors in this genre is Isaac Asimov. He has written such books as I, Robot and The Foundation Trilogy. He also came up with the three laws of robotics.

I find these laws fascinating because we are living in a time when we have smart AI robots and humans living together. Asimov’s three laws are:

1. A robot may not injure a human being or through an action allow a human being to come to harm

2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second law

Asimov also went on to write a fourth law which was called the zeroth law because it is meant to proceed all the other laws and it says: A robot may not harm humanity or by inaction allow humanity to come to harm

All laws should be passed by Congress, otherwise those laws are illegal, having said that, now are those so called "four laws" already in the federal statutes or international treaties ? If not, as many lawyers will tell you, unless it becomes a legal mumbo jumbo, Asimovs dumb rules will be impotent.

The Terminator needs an Asimov Tweak !!!
That might make robots immensely popular and protect them to...
It’s not slavery it’s peaceful coexistence, maybe we should actually make sure that even military robots apply to these rules...,

Than we can learn a lesson from robots !!!

A human is still a far more energy efficient being than a robot and a human body works to quantum level so we are way more complicated than you think...

You already have a robot brain in your pocket running android or a unix tweaked netbsd kernel with a graphic system of apple on top...

let’s keep it at that for now !!!

Since we are way more efficient than robots in energy use we should only build them in physical form if we really need to, so replacing some prostitution for robots might be a good option, how can you kill something you like/love..,

We should include ethics teaching and human rules into software so we are preparing people for having normal human relationships instead of making them behave worse...

Just like a flight simulator for airplanes..,

Never ever make killing robots...

We are explicitly warned for war robots by Isaac Asimov to !!!

Research non lethal weapons and police systems, not for suppression but for preventing the worst !!!

Still we are different beings and to much robots will kill us all if we step over the laws of nature to much.

If they really are intelligent they will thank us for being alive instead of trying to kill us, .,

what human is not thankful to God and the universe for his existence if he’s happy !!
