My theory is that this guy who's talking is the prototype as we know prototype can make any type of voice he wants and he also refers to huggy as "dear" meaning he likes huggy and doesn't hate him only the
prototype would like enemies and monsters and he
also knows everything about our journey almost as he
is stalking us, and in the vhs where in the black tape
someone hears the prototype, this guy doesn't even
let us hear the part where the guy is talking and
prototype is about to kill him so this has to be the
prototype!
Edit: i know lots of peoppe are saying this is harley sawyer, but what if the prototype is trying to mimic harley sawers voice! Plus how would harley sawyer survive the hour of joy even though he is the one who created most of the bigger bodies initiative!

All I want from Chapter 4 (other than an alive Kissy Missy...) are tapes of Sawyer and Pierre getting what they deserve. It can be audio only or like The Hour of Joy, it doesn't matter. Things went off the rails when they took over and their decisions led to so much pain and death. I want to see Karma get them and swallow them whole. This game has gone through an amazing transformation and the Lore is on point. Keep doing what you're doing!

What stands out to me is that the narrator voice is Harley Sawyer, aka the man who created the Bigger Bodies Initiative and basically set Playtime on it's dark path. But if he is narrating events that take place in game, then either a) he escaped the factory like Leith Pierre did, b) he is being held in the factory as a prisoner (unlikely, he would likely have been eaten for food by that point) or c) this is the Prototype copying his voice, just like we hear the Prototype doing in the final tape of Chapter Three. The third option seems the most likely.

Edit: Also, the year the game takes place is confirmed to be 2005! We knew it was likely in the early 2000s-the factory shutdown date is confirmed to be 1995, and we knew the game takes place ten years after, so we could probably have estimated it would be 2005 or around 2005. Still, nice to have official confirmation!

The narrator's lines and tone when explaining that the player didn't listen to the warning and kept getting even deeper into the factory is interesting. It sounds like he's kind of pissed that he kept going but he's also enjoying it... And when he said "Poppy... Well, we'll see what cames of it, won't we..?", his tone is again a little off and... Threatening? Makes me believe that the theory of the narrator being the prototype might be true.
Also him saying "the fun began" when Huggy chased the player? *Suspicious.*

I'm calling it, this is probebly the Prototype making logs as he observes the player character as he goes through the factory.
