I think the saddest part is that the kids in huggy and boxy are so far gone(conscious wise, probably even mental wise) that they don't understand that they're killing and hurting innocent kids like they've been hurt and killed. Instead of trying to help, save, or protect them they're killing them. Thereby technically making them no better than the monsters that created them.

I was thinking it would be a cool plot twist if huggy wuggy and kissy missy turned out to be the brown haired girl's parents. It could be like they found out the truth about what's been happening in the factory and tried to save the children but were caught and turned into toys themselves. The father could have sent the small huggy wuggy to their daughter when she was a toddler to keep an eye on her and look after her (We see in the project play time that huggy wuggy can make small wuggy). The people who threw the small huggy away could just be her adopted parents. Over time, the father begins to lose himself very slowly.
