About Anjelah:
Anjelah Johnson-Reyes was born and raised in San Jose, California where she grew up with four siblings in a large extended family to which she remains close. Anjelah found herself an internet sensation and pioneer in viral YouTube videos when her notorious “Nail Salon” bit from a local comedy show was posted and received over 100 million views! Shortly thereafter she was added to the cast on the original MADtv where she trademarked her legendary character, Bon Qui Qui. Similar to the nail salon video, the Bon Qui Qui sketch caught on and have been viewed by over 75 million people. The multi-hyphenate’s popularity has translated into four successful comedy specials: That’s How We Do It” (Comedy Central), The Homecoming Show (NUVO TV), Not Fancy (Netflix) and Mahalo & Good Night (Epix). She has displayed her acting prowess both on TV and film. Some of her credits include “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Superstore,” “Moms’ Night Out,” and “Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.” Her first book was published in 2022, Who Do I Think I Am: Stories of Chola Wishes and Caviar Dreams, a hilarious and touching memoir full of memorable anecdotes on how a Latina dynamo was able to forge ahead and become successful.

When I was younger we had to memorize people's phone numbers. We didn't have cell phones or computers back then. We also carried little black phone books with important numbers in them. My husband carried one all his adult life even after cellphone's came out.

I really love her. We used to keep a piece of cardboard with phone numbers on the wall. Who else's parents or grandparents did that? We had a rotary dial phone.😅😂☎️

I used to know phone

It really sucks when you are arrested and they don't give you access to your phone contacts. Next thing you know, you get out and find out your family has been posting missing photos of you around the city because they don't know what happened. True story here; there needs to be some legislation about this. My family was really scared. Moral of the story here is this; when they give you your phone call, dial 911.

Remember when ph # were a word +numbers.
My childhood = York 5953

Later, we moved, we had a McCaf 4729.

Rotary phone on the wall with long, coil cord between phone base and receiver. I took it upon myself to be the one that kept that coil neat and untangled.

Phone was in hall-so we stood for all conversations - until we wispered to family member, as they passed by, "Bring me a chair" - then we knew it would be a long call.

Or how about phone booths? Calling collect?
Phone books? Telephone operators listening in? AND don't forget party-lines. We were 1 of 4 so it was cheaper each month.

I didnt know I was going to travel down memory lane

.😅😅😅😅😅😅

I use the C. O. E. This stands for In Case Of Emergency. It is my husband's number. Just in case someone in the medical field goes through my contacts. Most medical people know this acronym! ❤

I have a little book with all my passwords, bank accounts my kids Social, sometimes I take in my purse most of the time I leave it home. My memory is really bad. I remember when we have beepers and when I got my first cell phone in 1996

Only posted this a few hours ago and already one of the butthurt hater dudes (90+% male user names, every time) is lurking at the bottom of the comments. Why do they never have anything better to do than pathetic attempts at dunking on a successful comedian? To answer the question: yes, people pay to see her. Some even go out of our way to seek out the DVD of her first special because we want to actually watch it instead of merely listening to our favorite bits every day. This particular fan is going to see her here in Texas a couple months from now. You don't have to enjoy her, that's fine, but find something else to do with your time then coming on the videos of somebody you supposedly don't enjoy and making yourself look like an insecure fool. Life's too short!

It might sound funny but the reality is with so much technology we are getting dumber just like she is saying that is a fact that we don’t know even five contact numbers, I used to remember my house phone number wich is gone cause nobody uses a land phone for home anymore, school office my neighbors number who sometimes helped me picking up my son from school and then cellphones appeared and we loved the contacts list I know because I had around 500 contacts because I was self employed and I had to stay in touch with customers doing house repairs and remodeling stuff but don’t worry it’s going to get worse in the meantime let’s laugh it with Angelah she always nailed it with her comedy and we need to kick the stress right on its tail 👀😳😜😂let’s keep laughing cause few more days and this 2024 will be gone for sure 😢😮😅
