How to Use Pattern Fill Silhouette Studio for Print & Cut - Pattern Fills 101

NOTE : If you're wondering why the patterns in the video are all fall-themed, it's because I recorded this video several months ago when fall patterns were in season. Took me a little while to get this video ready!

In this video, I'll show you how to use pattern fills to create custom patterns for print & cut in Silhouette Studio. I cover 2 ways to apply patterns to shapes, and I also show you how to upload patterns to your Silhouette Library. We'll also go over both basic and more advanced options for further adjusting and customizing pattern fills, as well as the (relatively) new bleed feature that's available in Silhouette Studio.

There's SO much that you can do with pattern fills, from making custom elements for card making to patterned vinyl projects and lots more!

I'm rarely using my print bleed option (only at the minimal range) since I don't know where it would appear and want to avoid overlaps (like you said it's not showing in the program). Instead, I make my design a bit larger than what I want (say about 0.01) and use an internal offset to avoid those white border. In conjuncture with a small bleed, I believe your machine will always cut "right".

Which printer do you use? a laser printer or an inkjet printer?

I always get low resolution whenever I use images in my designs. The only way to get a good quality print is to save it as a PDF and print that, then put that into the machine. Is there another way to make the images that are uploaded into the silhouette designer edition NOT low resolution?

I can not get the registration marks to print
