I Test the 6 Best Selling Resins - Shocking Results

With the number of different brands of resin out there and the claims they make about there resins I wanted to test to see which of the best selling resins were actually performing as they say. Some say the resin will not yellow, others say it will not create bubbles etc. So I tested these 6 resins and I think you'll be shocked at the results, I know I was. I tested the following resins: craft resin, Dr Crafty, Art Resin, Sin Wong, JDiction and Let's Resin. I used exactly the same test at the same time. There was nothing added to any of these epoxy resins and they were all mixed according to the instructions that came with the resin.

Worst resin I have ever used for small jewelry and one shallow horseshoe was Art Resin, full of micro bubbles & yellows. Puduo was very good, clear, no yellowing. I have just purchased Jdiction but I haven't used it yet. Now for the very best, crystal clear, dirt cheap and no bubbles, A B resin 3 to 1 from Wish, I kid you not! Shocked me! Thank you for your reviews, you are a joy to watch.

I appreciate your time on this. Yellowing can occur with sunlight exposure inside the house though it might happen at a slower rate. All resins brag about bubbles, yellowing etc but as you said they all yellow eventually. This is one reason I don’t use them on my paintings beside not liking the plastic look on my art. All are food safe for incidental contact once fully cured according to the FDA data sheet. I wouldn’t cut on it though.

I am a total newbie to resin and highly value your videos and experience AND advice. It is fabulous that you take the time and trouble to provide this level of expertise! Today was my very first resin "pour" on several small items from three pendants to several little molds. I'm going to work up to other projects hoping to finally reach enough experience to pour a rectangular table top which is designed with never-worn Swatch watches and small turtles. I call it my Fool's Table - long story - but I spent so much money on the design contents thinking of them as mini investments - never happened - so Fool's Table. I have to get this pour right because the overall table is turning out rather stunning and I really want it to work. Thanks ever so for helping me on the way . . .

I love SigWong. It's my go-to, never have bubbles, and it's crystal clear! I never had that yellow issue on my outside pieces.

I wish i had found this video before buying Artresin as my first resin experience. The bubbles are a nightmare, it becomes malleable at minimum heat and turned yellow after only two days in the sun. A complete waste of money, time and nerves 😅 I was ready to give up, but now i will try let's resin!

I love Let's Resin for UV resin and their two part resin … I also love JDiction 2 part resin but not their uv resin… glad to see the two very best ones were the ones I use as well! :)

Truly appreciate you making this video! It can be so frustrating when makers are sharing things they were sponsored to do and it is beyond skewed compared to real life use. I have used 4 of the 6 that you have here. And half way round the world got the exact same results. How I wish someone had done this years back when I first started and wasted so much money and time.
