Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda!

What I love most is she throws her hands up when she's startled. Which is a real thing red pandas do to make themselves look bigger

I just realize that this film is set in the early 2000s ! This is exactly the vibe that was going on when I was a preteen. I was almost the same age as them

The vibe is different but I love how bubbly the characters look, last year it was about hyper realism now it’s about bubbliness and big mouths and teeth but the characters look so cute and I’m so excited

It seems to be about period, puberty and whatnot. Crazy times, it's nice to see someone saying it's alright for the young ones facing this. You got my attention, Pixar.

Apparently, some of the characters names are: Mei (Main character) Ming (The Mother) Jin (The Father) Abby (The Girl In the Pink/Mei's friend) Priya (The calm one/Mei's friend) Miriam (The girl with the green sweater and beanie/Mei's friend) Stacy (The, "O-M-G" Girl lol) Tyler (The bully at the end. -_-) Yea that's all I learned.
