How about the CEO of Boeing fly up to the ISS in a SpaceX crew dragon, let the two Astronauts descend back to Earth in it, then have him fly the Starliner back down to Earth.

I have begun to believe that our space program isn't about either science or prestige. It's about lining the pockets of defense contractors.

Finally learned something besides Starliner is a POC.
1) Boeing Space Division is a grift for tax dollars
2) The life of two astronaut's are worth less than the cost of a Starliner capsule.

The secret is Starliner can't undock autonomously even though the test flight did. Astronauts can undock it manually but their safety or safety of the spacecraft cannot be guaranteed to return to earth. It's a catch 22 situation either way, making Starliner not fit for human spaceflight certification.

I always thought that Suni's over reaction when boarding ISS really had to do with them almost dying. It seemed more like an "I can't believe we made it!" reaction. The more I hear the more I am convinced of it.

And the CEO just give himself a raise up to 34 million a year!

Starliner has been a train wreck since the beginning. They have to end the Starliner program.

It seems that in every sphere of 21st-century endeavor, we are suffering a veritable tsunami of generational incompetence!

At this point it wouldn't surprise me if we found out that the software for autopilot capability has to be physically installed in the capsule from a couple of dozen floppy discs.

That's not just bad form, it's outright criminal.

The auto flight software should always be loaded on a crewed mission to cover for crew incapacitation

What the heck would have happened if the crew had been incapacitated going into orbit?

Since there are five? docking ports on the ISS, maybe they should just leave the Starliner attached to ISS as an extra storage room for dirty laundry or completed experiments. Maybe get some composting going on in there. Then it can burn up in re-entry when ISS is de-orbited.

NASA needs to cancel StarWhiner and have Boeing reimburse the American taxpayers the billions they have fleeced.

So, if something happened on the TEST flight that meant the crew were incapacitated, they'd just be stranded in space?

WTFH NASA!!!

In the military, it is called General Incompetence.

Send up Dragon with 2 optimus bots. Return the crew and have the bots take the "Nightmareliner" down.

It’s not good enough that this is all coming at Boeing’s cost at this point. NASA needs to claw back the original award.

Are they saying that it is IMPOSSIBLE to update the software while Starliner is docked to the ISS? How is that even a thing. I mean, even hardwired Apollo Guidance Computer was able to be updated!

Senior management at Boeing does not know what they are doing. They MBAs everywhere but engineers ... not so much. Even when a good engineer explains what's going on they argue. Pure incompetence.
