How do you plan to improve the mechanical brakes? Being a budget bike, you’ll probably want to stick with mechanical pull and leave the advent x (it’s probably the best bang for your buck when you’re building budget) - with drop bar configuration, you have some upgrade dependencies with the brakes and shifters.
