this is sweet. My brother and I built up a 90's Trek 730 into a sweet gravel bike, and he rode it at Dirty Kanza last year. Love this kind of build!

I'm currently building an old bike mtb with 26 wheelset to gravel bike too, that's the reason why i always watch this channel.
I just installed drop bars, stem, steer adaptors, and replacing rusty chains and freewheel cassette.
Next upgrade is wheelset, going to build 27.5 wheels on it with 27.5 x 1.50/1.65 tires, 8/10 speed 11-42t cassette+rd+shifter.

This is going to be cool, can't wait to watch it. The only thing I think would be cooler would be a better frame with how many builds are being done with old mountain bike frames, etc, but this will be unique and you can't beat free for the frame.

I totally love this stuff. I have two bikes I built up from cheap and donated parts. More than half the fun of owning a bike is the tinkering. Oh and Tinker Tuesday has become my favorite segment. Keep it going and I can't wait to see where this build is going.

Enough for me! But I would watch anyway because 2 things I like is hearing You talking and watching stuff come together. How about Sram 10s road shifters and 10s MTB derailleur? How good and how budget is that?
