In this video we cover 'freezing' or 'consolidating' tracks inside FL Studio 20 to either save CPU or export individual stems, or both!

Hi. You said this reduces the usage of CPU. In my understanding, that's the whole point of freezing function in other DAWs - you convert your VST instruments to audio, and the actual instruments are being removed. You can "unfreeze" the track any time later, make some changes to your notes, and then freeze it again. But I tried to do the same thing in FL studio, as you explained, and here is the result: the MIDI clip was muted, but the VST instrument remained active, it wasn't "frozen". Either I did something wrong, or this is not "freezing" in principle, it's just bouncing a track, or making a mixdown of a track. Can I somehow "freeze" a track in FL Studio, so that the instrument and MIDI clip are removed, but can be "unforzen" any time for further editing?

Thanks so much for this! I knew this technique before but your tutorial is another great thing!
I had a question. Why you didn't turn on Dithering? Does it can make exported sound better?
